Footing the Bill – climate finance update

Here is a new, fresh update on Climate finance in the SSNC Key Issues for Climate Change series. This 8-page supplement to the original report "Footing the Bill for Climate Change – the duty of the rich and the right of the poor to development" include analysis of the Copenhagen conference and the Copenhagen accord, updated assessments of needs for climate finance, and critical discussions on the double counting of aid money and carbon market investments.

The original report 48-page report – written by Göran Eköf, and first published in Swedish as a collaborative effort between Forum Syd, Diakonia, the Swedish Cooperative Centre and the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation (SSNC) – include a still very relevant overview of both existing and proposed financing mechanisms as well as a useful discussion on climate change issues from a development perspective.
